- If your vibrator takes batteries, please remove them. There are many local green solutions for recycling batteries; plus this saves you money on shipping.
- Disinfect your unwanted sex toys by soaking them in a 10% solution of bleach for 10 minutes and let them air dry completely. Please don’t send us anything wet or dirty! If it’s too gross to handle we won't be able to process your credit.
STEP TWO
- Be sure to add SGRecycle @ ScarletGirl . com (remove the extra spaces) to your address book or email white list to ensure you receive your Sex Toy Recycle credit!
- That’s it – we do the rest!

STEP GREEN!
- OUR GREEN: Scarlet Girl TM will recycle your unwanted or broken sex toys by first disassembling them to segregate all components and remove the electronics.
We consolidate and collect the various waste streams (hard plastics, electronics, silicone, jelly plastic, etc.). We then deliver the recyclable materials to a local recycler. Plastics are ground up and melted down for use in other consumer products, the metal electronic bits are recovered, and melted down and any toxic elements are properly recycled.
This process keeps those plastics and electronics (which may contain lead, copper, nickel, cadmium, and other heavy metals) out of landfills and helps prevent groundwater contamination! The recycling facility we contract with is regulated by OSHA and the EPA, as well as Oregon state and local safety and environmental laws.
