Ben Wa balls have been around forever. Ok, maybe not literally forever, but there are written records describing the use and enjoyment of Ben Wa balls, since at least 500 AD.
More recently, that 50 Shade of Grey movie has awakened a lot more modern interest in what Ben Wa balls can do to improve or enhance your love life. And, darling, it's a lot!
Use Ben Wa balls to strengthen vaginal muscles, or just for pleasure!
To exercise your vaginal muscles, use a little water-based lubricant on your BenWa balls insert one or both of them into your vagina. Experiment with where they feel comfortable. Take a little time to become accustomed to how they feel, and the way your body responds to the sensation of the weighted balls.
Many women insert them deeply, so they "tuck" behind the pubic bone, especially if they'll be walking around with them inserted. Don't worry; they can't get lost! When you're ready to remove them, relax, bear down gently, and use your finger to "hook" them out.
Once you have inserted your Ben Wa balls, start practicing your Kegels! Having a weighted item to clench your muscles around can help you learn to isolate the particular PC muscles you want to enhance. You can start learning to isolate the right muscles just by clenching the same muscles you use to stop your flow of urine.
Practice clenching just your vaginal muscles (practice until you can do so, without also clenching your anus) around your Ben Wa balls. Then, as you gain more fine control, you can practice clenching your muscles at different levels. Start with the lower "floor", and envision an elevator moving as you clench from low to high, and back down again.
Although you may want to start by practicing with your BenWa balls while laying down, once you have become accustomed to the feeling practice walking around with them in. The weight creates a very unique sensation, and helps to stimulate the very muscles in your pelvic floor that are involved in your sexual pleasure.
Which brings us to the big reason to use Ben Wa balls; your pleasure!
Increasing the strength of your PC muscles can help to improve continence, sure. But it can also help improve your enjoyment and sensation during sex and during orgasm.
