New Brides and New Moms Turn them on to a Vibrator!
From www.About.com, Anne Semans,Your Guide to Sexuality.
New brides and new moms. You might not think they have much in common (except in the instance where the new bride is also a new mom), but I can tell you from experience they both appreciate the same thing when it comes to shower gifts: a vibrator.
Now you’re recoiling in horror—imagining your best friend’s expression when she opens your gift after cooing over rattles or gushing over scented candles. But public humiliation doesn’t have to be part of the package—present your gift in private (I always say I left it in the car when all the others are being opened) along with a thoughtful letter and preferably some instructions for how to enjoy it. You will cement your status as best friend (or sister, or mother-in-law) when your gift works its magic on the recipient.
Of course vibrators make great gifts for any occasion, but I enjoy giving them on these two occasions because a) they are not traditional shower gifts and b) they cut right to the chase—in my opinion, vibrators equal better sex and what new bride or new mom would say no to that?! How exactly do they equal better sex? Vibrators allow women to explore their sexual response and expand their sexual repertoire.
Many women who are pre-orgasmic learn to orgasm after experimenting with vibrators. Women who orgasm from manual stimulation may be able to reach orgasm more quickly (without cramping hands!) and they may find that their orgasms are more intense. Women who orgasm from or engage solely in vaginal penetration may discover a clitoral vibrator adds more pleasure to their sexual encounters.
