How to Look Good in Lingerie by Sarah Woodruff
All of us girls have that scene in our minds...the one where you bring him up to your place after a great date and seductively utter that fateful line, "Let me slip into something more comfortable...".
But we all know that what you are about to slip into is definitely NOT more comfortable. And then we come to the horrible realization that we are not Gisele Bundchen. We don't have a styling team or a 6-pack. A bulge here and a gap there...not quite what we had in mind. Crap! What to do?
First of all, start with a good foundation. Put on some lotion. Soft smooth skin goes a long way. Then choose pieces that don't dig into your skin. Wearing too-small lingerie will only make you look big. I recommend styles like the Hanky Panky low-rise thong. It comes in colors to match all of your bras, and it won't give you muffin-top!
Next, choose a bra that fits you well. I recommend a balconette bra for sexy time. It's like serving them up on a platter... (*wink!*) Classic colors like black are always a good bet, but it's also fun to surprise him with an unexpected color like turquoise. It looks great in the summer on tan skin.
A big part of looking amazing in lingerie isn't lingerie at all. It's shoes. Elongate your legs with a sexy pair of heels, and he won't even notice a little extra padding here or there. If you want to go the whole nine yards with a garter belt and stockings, first of all make sure he's comfortable on the couch with a beer and the remote, because you're going to be a while.
Make sure you buy a size larger than you think you need, so that you don't get a bulge at the top of the thigh-highs, and don't pull them up too high. They should stop about a third of the way up your thigh. And for some extra fun, put the straps under your panties so you don't have to take off the whole shebang... (*double-wink*)
The fact of the matter is: looking great in lingerie is about more than a good fit and sexy shoes. It's about feeling sexy and confident. So as long as you're feelin' it, your partner will want to feel it too!
