Costumes and Role Playing in the Bedroom:
Gettin' Some Sugar the Rest of the Year!

I went to Catholic high school.
I have, since that time, heard pretty much every Catholic school girl joke that exists, and probably some that don’t, or shouldn’t. There’s just something across-the-board sexy about a short plaid skirt and a white top with straining buttons, pigtails optional, and most people (guys) think they’re being terribly clever by pointing this out to me.
Yes, the schoolgirl is a sexy costume, but there are so many others out there that an adventurous soul might never get bored in the bedroom. Halloween is a perfect example of this. It is nigh impossible to find a Halloween costume for a woman that couldn’t also double as a bedroom get-up, and I’m sure that most do at some point. Sexy pirate wenches, police officers, fairies, angels, devils, farm girls, sports players, cheerleaders, bunnies, jailbirds, and on and on and on. And while the last day of October may be the one day of the year on which it is socially acceptable to dress like this in public, the good news is you don’t need to completely retire those cute little bits of fabric on November 1st.
If the schoolgirl jokes I endure are any indication, costumes and role playing in the bedroom are a popular fantasy, and slipping into last year’s sexy French Maid costume is the perfect way to spice up a Tuesday night. “Costumes are always a total turn-on, especially uniforms,” says Dylan, 27.
As with anything new in the bedroom, however, it’s often wise to get your partner’s consent. Even something that pushes all your buttons might not turn your lover on in the same way.
Sam, 26, was a bit shocked when a lover of hers tried to use handcuffs without her permission. “If he had asked me first, I would have handled the situation with a lot more decorum!” But, she says, “I did wear my French Maid uniform.”
Halloween isn’t just for the kids anymore. Hit those costume parties, dress to the nines, and once all the trick-or-treater’s have called it a night, head to the bed to get some sugar of your own!
