Pheromones:
How does your nose affect your love life?
How does your nose affect your love life? More than you might
think!
Ever found yourself inexplicably
drawn to someone? Sure he’s cute, but so are 900 other guys in the
room. What is that strange quality that suddenly makes you weak in the
knees for that person? The answer may be simple - chemistry my dear,
chemistry!
It’s not an exact science yet, but
many experts believe humans, like animals, have vomeronasal organs (VNO’s) that
pick up and process pheromones. Pheromones are usually a blend of two or
more chemicals released in different proportions that act as “signals” of
attraction and sexual readiness.
In the 1950’s experts began
observing that in the animal kingdom pheromones have a direct connection to
mating behavior. Male animals somehow know when a female is fertile and
ready to mate, even without the benefit of martini bars and lingerie.
Since we humans are sometimes
slightly less in touch with our animal nature than the average elk (and we have
the benefit of free will) our mating habits involve a bit more finesse.
Experts are still not sure exactly what part human pheromones play. Do the
pheromones we exude make us more attractive to the opposite sex, or when we’re
having more sex do we produce more sex pheromones? It sounds like the
classic chicken or egg question, but it may be a little of both
actually.
What most people will agree on is
that pheromones do have an effect on your love life. The most interesting
part is that the effect pheromones have on you may be so subtle that you don’t
even notice them. Nothing crazy, like making you a Jekyll and Hyde type,
but the right combination of his pheromones and yours could really escalate an
attraction that is already there.
What does this mean to you?
Well, there are many pheromone products on the market, and the anecdotal
evidence is clear to me. If you are trying to catch the eye of a new beau,
dab on a little extra pheromone and see what happens.
Scarlet Girl began carrying more pheromone products because clients were
asking for them, and it seems they were right. Not only are we now fans of
Pure
Instinct pheromone cologne, but when we ladies of Scarlet Girl tried it
ourselves we noticed a very positive response.
The scent of Pure Instinct
Pheromone Cologne is different on everyone, depending on body chemistry, but try
some the next time you are out with friends, and see if you notice the increased
attention too.
Pheromones are also thought to create a feeling of calm and confidence. One
of my clients recently shared with me that whenever she has to give a public
presentation in her job she applies her pheromone cologne, because it makes her
feel so much more self possessed. She also added that she is now almost
superstitious about applying her pheromone cologne before taking the stage,
because of the calm it gives her.
So next time you want to create a mini oasis at home, spritz some Silky
Sheets with pheromones onto your linens, and dab on your pheromone
cologne. Breathe deep, let your animal side do it's thing, and see where it
takes you.
