Mom will get gifts of macaroni necklaces, handmade pictures, and flowers from the little ones but what do you get for her? Sunday brunch will be a crowded mad house. Breakfast in bed is nice, but only if the evidence is cleared out of the kitchen before she has to do the clean up, and if she gets to sleep in.

Quiet Time
Try arranging a block quiet time in the house, and draw her a nice hot bath. To really wow her, make sure the bathroom is sparkling clean first, and clear the counters of all the every day items (like toothbrushes and hairspray). Light some candles to set the mood, and set out a stack of fluffy towels, some bubble bath and body oil, and a new bath sponge for her. Turn on some soft music, and offer to guard the door, or to wash her back; ladies choice!

Massage
For an easy, but intimate, gift consider the gift of massage. Choose a scent that both of you will enjoy, and decide between massage lotion or oil. In this situation you can't go wrong with a massage candle; it stores easily, won't leak, and has a discreet appearance in case there are prying eyes around the house! You can simply scoop out a little of the soy wax and melt it in your hands before applying it, or light the candle to set the mood, then pour a small amount of the warm wax, a little at a time, during her massage. Soy is gentle and even moisturizing, so her skin will love it too!

Pretty and Comfy
When the massage is complete, and she is feeling blissfully relaxed surprise her with a pretty new gown and robe, or her favorite comfy clothes. Fluff up the pillows on the couch, and bring her a book (or the remote), and her favorite beverage to round off the pampering session. Most of the Moms we know are overworked and tired, so a day of focused pampering and relaxation will be a sweet memory she'll cherish for a long time!
